In the Paris suburb of Levallois-Perret, an unidentified man in his thirties intentionally drove into a group of anti-terrorism soldiers with his black BMW car. According to local news, after a short manhunt the suspect was shot five times and arrested. Six soldiers were injured in the attack and their conditions are unknown at this time, however three are reportedly in more serious condition. The Washington Post quoted the French interior minister as saying that this is the sixth intentional attack on soldiers with the Sentinelle operation.

France’s interior minister says that a driver intentionally targeted soldiers in a calculated car attack, and that authorities are still searching for the perpetrator.

Gerard Collomb told reporters that the attack near Paris Wednesday marks the sixth time that soldiers with the Sentinelle operation have been targeted. He said that shows the importance of a new terrorism law permanently enshrining some aspects of the state of emergency in place in France since 2015.” – Washington Post
