SOFREP has now hit the ground for SHOT Show 2017. Velcro, ball caps, and cargo pants make up the official dress code: business tactical. We’ll be walking around the show and having meetings for the duration of the event. The crew from the Loadout Room had a great day out on the range today, so you can expect to see their coverage appear on the site shortly.
We’ll also be keeping an eye out for our favorite Chinese spy named Summer. She had a pretty good racket going last year, and I’m sure there is no shortage of government employees who will be sucked in by her wily charms.
Meanwhile, keep an eye out for Brandon Webb, James Powell, the Odyssean, Desiree Huitt, and me; we’ll be repping the company. Frankly, the best part of SHOT isn’t all the guns and gear, but rather the opportunity to meet our readers and hang out as a team since most of us work remotely from all around the world.
Looking forward to seeing all of you at the show and our readers at the SOFREP party on the 18th!

No pressure. Was just thinking after so much noise how peaceful and relaxing it would be to hear the ocean and not the drone of people talking. I got really tickled at a guy Kristie and I met sharing a lunch table at SHOT. It was his first day on the job for his company. I can't even imagine doing your first day at SHOT. He said he asked one of the show people if there was a quiet place to go to eat lunch. They laughed and said, "This is Vegas. There is no quiet place." LOL! Boy, they were right. Even in your hotel room, it's not quiet.
