Retired Command Sgt. Maj. Mike Hall, honorary CSM of the 75th Ranger Regiment, passes the guidon to Col. Todd Brown, commander of the 75th Ranger Regiment, on July 12, 2019, on Inouye Field at Fort Benning, Georgia. During the ceremony, the 75th Ranger Regiment received the prestigious Joint Meritorious Unit Award for its actions from October 2015 to July 2016.
According to DVIDS, the award citation stated that during the aforementioned period: “The 75th Ranger Regiment conducted continuous combat operations, including time-sensitive raids and deliberate movement to contact operations in enemy-held terrain resulting in numerous astounding successes with national implications. The extraordinary heroism, unwavering determination, boundless esprit de corps, and the gallant actions in combat demonstrated by the service members of the 75th Ranger Regiment and its assigned units have brought great credit to themselves and to the Department of Defense.”
