Mark Donald, a former Navy SEAL and Medical Officer who served 25 years as a Reconnaissance Marine, Navy Corpsman and Physician Assistant, appears on the the show this week. He is joined by Shayne Carlson, the son of “Chief” Carlson, an Army vet who was killed in Afghanistan working with a special operations unit.

Shayne will be raising support for the Red Circle Foundation in honor of his father this summer. On June 21st (Go Skate Day), Shayne Carlson, Kris Wahl, Sam Buie, and Bryce Austin will be skateboarding over 4,000 miles from Anchorage, AK, through Canada and down the Pacific Coast to San Diego, CA. As many of you know, the Red Circle Foundation is Brandon’s charitable organization, managed by his sister Maryke Webb, where 100% of the money donated goes to helping special operations families.

Shayne’s relay skateboard journey will be a major part of the Red Circle Foundation’s Black Tie Bravery Gala on September 6th at the Birch Aquarium in La Jolla, California. Registration is now open online, and sponsorships are available as well. Brandon and many of us on the SOFREP team will be there, and we’d love to see our listeners who can make it to the event! Brandon, Maryke and the rest of the Foundation appreciate your support. — Click here for the direct link to Cruise the Coast donations
