Former Secretary of Defense Dr. Robert Gates shared his opinion about the Bowe Bergdahl case with Business Insider. His opinion, that the transaction was “too high of a price” for his return, is shared by many in uniform. The United States exchanged five Taliban detainees for Bergdahl. The released detainees are dangerous men who can still put U.S. and NATO lives in danger.

One thing that he did not mention were those injured or killed  in attempting to rescue Bergdahl, such as Former Navy SEAL Jimmy Hatch (suffered a life-changing injury) and combat dog Remco (killed saving Hatch’s life on the mission). What are your thoughts on the transaction? Was it too high of a price to bring Bergdahl home?
