A few weeks back, Brandon Webb came by Sirius XM Radio to promote his latest book, “Among Heroes.” One of the hosts who interviewed him about the book was none other than Ricky Bones, a friend of mine. Ricky was captivated by the stories that Brandon told. So much so, he felt a much bigger special in honor of this work needed to air.
From that idea sparked the two-hour special set to air this weekend, appropriately titled “Among Heroes.” The first hour of the show, Ricky and I got to interview three veterans who became UFC fighters: former Marine Brian Stann, former Marine Liz Carmouche, and a name you all know, Green Beret Tim Kennedy. We get into the world of mixed martial arts with them, issues facing the military today, and what can be done to help heroes coming home. The second hour is a spotlight interview with Brandon Webb that you do not want to miss.
It all airs on Sirius XM Sports Zone 92 during the following dates and times: Friday, July 3rd from 4-6 p.m. EST and 8-10 p.m EST; Saturday, July 4th from 4-6 p.m. EST.
