The Adjutant knife by Minuteman seemed like it was going to be a small knife (almost too small). Once the knife arrived and I opened the package I was pleasantly surprised. Yes the blade is on the small side, but the handle is just long enough to give you a full hand grip on the knife (I have medium-sized hands). The knife comes in two flavors. You can opt for either the skeletonized version or the G10 version.

I prefer the G10 version as it feels better in the hand, plus the design and sculpting of the G10 is pretty damn impressive.

On one side of the blade is the Minuteman logo with the original 13 stars (representing the original 13 colonies).

On the other side of the blade are the letters GTI which stands for Gingrich Tactical Innovations. GTI is the actual manufacturer of these knives.

The knife itself is very reminiscent of the frontier patch knives. The patch knife was a standard part of any frontier rifleman’s kit back in the day. They would use the knife to cut off small ‘patches’ of cotton material to use as wadding in their musket rifles. Although small, the Adjutant knife can still be used for outdoor tasks such as skinning small game, wood prep for a fire, food prep and many more general utility tasks.

The blade itself is full tang making it a very strong and robust knife. The spine of the knife is also somewhat squared off and can be used to scrape fine shavings off a sticks and strike a ferro rod, producing sparks to ignite the wood shavings.

The kydex sheath that comes with the knife is your basic pancake style sheath. The sheath also has standard sized grommet holes to be used for paracord, soft-loops or Ulti Clips. You can carry this sheath several different ways. It just comes down to personal preference and your imagination.
