Here we are. Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year, is fast approaching. And you likely have a loved one who is hard to shop for. If they love guns, well, you’ve found the right list. There are things broad in an approach like a gun case, or specific like an 80 percent lower, but today we’ll fall somewhere in between with our picks. Today I’m not just putting together a list of crap, but rather the gun gifts yours truly has on his wish list. Hopefully, my suggestions will help you find the right thing for the right person.

Crimson Trace Laser Saddle

I’m not a huge visible laser guy, and on most guns, I steer clear of them. However, on guns like the Remington TAC 14 and Mossberg Shockwave aiming isn’t exactly easy. An added laser makes putting lead on target without a stock much easier. You can fire from the hip with a laser attached and have amazing accuracy at short ranges.

These Laser Saddle systems are available for the Mossberg 500/590 series and the Remington 870 series shotguns and firearms. They install with ease and come in both green and red beams. As far as gun gifts go, these offer shooters a lot of un, especially those who own TAC 14s and Shockwaves.

You haven’t had fun until you’ve sent from 25 yards a load of buckshot, from the hip with a scattergun and a laser, into a polymer target. As far as fun goes, this is one of the best gun gifts for making a smile appear.

Holosun 509T Elite

Holosun went from a barely recognized brand to one of the most known manufacturers of red dots on the planet. The 509T Elite is a titanium built optic designed for handguns, rifles, and shotguns. The design uses a fully enclosed system to improve reliability in all conditions. This optic is easy to mount to a handgun but would be at home on many different guns.

I’m a big fan of the 507C, and I think the 509T is a clear upgrade. The optic has a 50k hour battery life, 12 different brightness settings, including night vision settings, a shake awake system, and a solar panel design. The 509T is a flippin’ tank, and this is probably the most expensive of my gun gifts, but a titanium body makes it well worth the cost.

Swampfox Tomahawk LPVO 1-4X

“Travis,” you might ask “in a world where LPVOs go all the way to 1-10X, why would you want a 1-4X?” Well, my dear reader, it’s mostly because I want to stick it on limited range platforms, like my SIG 556R. The 1-4X is more affordable and lighter. Swampfox has made some big waves by producing high-quality optics for a relatively low cost. The Tomahawk is an awesome optic with numerous reticle options.

The reticle options are a big reason why I’m a fan of the 1-4X. The MOA drop reticle is perfect for a wide variety of rifles. A lot of LPVOs, especially affordable variants, often include a bullet drop compensating reticle designed for one type of projectile and one type of rifle. That limits you to one rifle. Contrary to that, the Tomahawk offers options for any rifle. I own several Swampfox optics, and they have always been kick-ass, so that’s why I put the Tomahawk on my gun gift list versus the 100 other LPVOs out there.

Highwild Steel Target Set

I’d never heard about Highwild, but making steel targets is pretty dang simple. Highwild has a target set that includes four different gongs that range in size. The gongs included are four-, six-, eight-, and 10-inch in diameter. They all mount alongside each other for easy engagement. This whole set includes a stand and the necessary chains to strap stuff up and hit the range.

This target set does all this at a really low cost. It includes everything you need to set up a very nice and robust range kit. These targets are rifle-rated and perfect for everything you can toss at them. As far as gun fits go, anyone who likes to shoot can benefit from a steel target setup.

Peak Case Violin Case

I love Peak Cases, and I have one for my Remington TAC 14. These cases are designed to secure and safely hold your firearm (or firearms), ammo, magazines, and more. These semi-rigid cases have a custom-cut foam to accommodate your firearm and provide it the best security possible. Peak Case now makes gun cases shaped like violin cases, and they look so sweet!

They are made for a wide variety of firearms, including the SUB 2000, numerous handguns, the TAC 13/14, a Roni and Glock, the SIG MPX K, the Ruger PC9, and so many more. These violin cases are made to be discreet. They are slick, well made, tough, and they even look great.

Gun Gifts are Never Easy

Finding the right gun gifts can be tough. Gun people are typically hard to shop for, even more so if you aren’t a huge fan of gun culture yourself. So, hopefully, I made your Christmas shopping a little easier.
