In a groundbreaking move to address security challenges and stimulate economic growth, Elites Group of Companies, a Nigerian firm, has recently unveiled plans to establish a domestic assembly and production line for unmanned vehicles, drones, and other critical security equipment.

This strategic initiative comes on the heels of a significant agreement with foreign Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) partners.

According to a report by Nigerian newspaper The Punch, the Group Managing Director of Elites Logistics & Development Services Ltd, Otunba David Adesanya, revealed the company’s ambitious undertaking, emphasizing its pivotal role in enhancing security infrastructure in Nigeria, contributing to the modern manufacturing industry, and generating numerous socio-economic benefits for the nation and the African continent.

Swift Response to Security Challenges

At the heart of this endeavor lies the imperative to significantly reduce the extended delivery times associated with waiting for foreign equipment manufacturing companies to produce and deliver drones to Nigerian clients.

By establishing a domestic assembly and production line, Elites Group aims to provide a swifter response to the security challenges facing the nation.

The availability of a wide range of technology solutions for surveillance, reconnaissance, and various security purposes will be a game-changer in addressing these issues.

Adesanya said the primary objective, stating:

“One of the primary objectives of this initiative is to significantly reduce the extended delivery time that has been associated with waiting for foreign equipment manufacturing companies to produce and deliver drones to Nigerian clients.”
