Authorities say a man barricaded himself inside a National Guard armory in Maryland for about three hours before being taken into custody. No one was injured.
The Baltimore County Police Department said on its Twitter feed that the unidentified, unarmed man had been holed up Monday at the Guard’s MG William C. Purnell Readiness Center in the Glen Arm section of the county. Police say he never had access to the armory’s weapons.
Authorities say Army personnel saw the man and called police. They say police negotiation and tactical units also arrived because of the sensitive location.
