Shots have been possibly fired at San Francisco General Hospital on Thursday afternoon, police said.

This is happening in the area of 23rd Street and Potrero Avenue. It happened at around 1:54 p.m. Teams in the hospital are going floor to floor.

A witness said several officers were going into the building with weapons drawn. Commuters are advised to take alternate routes.

Roads are closed off. According to KRON’s Maureen Kelly, shots were fired in Building 80.

A K-9 Unit is on the scene searching for a possible active shooter.

No injuries have been reported at this time, according to firefighters.
