See You On The Other Side Brother

I've never heard the term "honor leeches" but it is very appropriate. As a Marine, I've talked to guys who say they were in and they can't get past one or two questions before their stories fall apart. Just makes me wonder why the hell anyone would want to do that.

I will always remember Chris for the lives he saved. It is sad that most people will remember him for the number of people he killed in defense of his Brothers and the innocent who would have been destroyed by those he killed. The numbers of lives he saved goes beyond the soldiers he guarded.
For this, I honor him, far beyond his skill with the rifle.

alliweber MR151 Dear Abby's column would also be another good outlet for your poem. She/they often print tributes like that. Whether on Memorial Day, 9/11 anniversary or other significant dates.

MR151 alliweber If anybody wants to share the poem, they are free to do so. I feel like it doesn't even really belong to be anymore, but to everybody who has experienced loss.
