I think you may be referring to Army Special Forces CRF (Crisis Response Force) formerly know as the Combatant Commanders In-Extremis Force (CIF). Last I read on here they are still keeping a similar DA-CRF capability within the Special Forces groups but much smaller than it currently has been.
