Demonstrators from both left- and right-wing groups of British politics clash during a protest in Trafalgar Square on January 12th in London. These protestors adopted the “Gilets Jaunes,” or Yellow Vest, form of protest, first prominent in France in November and December 2018.
The majority of Yellow Vest protests in London centered on disposing views over Brexit. A January 15th U.K. Parliamentary vote rejected Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit EU withdrawal agreement.
