For fourteen years none of Naval’s closest relatives knew that he was a GROM soldier. He spent half of this time at foreign missions participating in combat action. Naval has been awarded the Knight’s Cross, and the Commander’s Cross of the Order of the Military Cross for distinguished service in combat. Since retiring, Naval has been consulting and contracting his skills in the civilian sector, serves as a contributing editor for, and recently released his memoir in Poland. His real name is Paweł, but everyone knows him as Naval.
