The United States Navy Parachute Team ‘Leap Frogs’ stole the show at ‘Navy Week’ in Mobile, Alabama which began Thursday at USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park. The US Navy was highlighting their ‘signature outreach effort’ which tours 15 cities in 2017 showing Americans why it is important to have a strong Navy.

The event will begin with Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson making a tandem parachute jump with the Navy’s parachute team, the Leap Frogs, at 8:50 a.m.

Following that, the Navy Band Brass Quintet will perform at 9 a.m.; Rear Adm. Thomas Ishee will speak; and a Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team, working with an EOD unit from the Mobile Police Department, will present a “Hollywood-type” explosion. Later, at 5:30 p.m., the Leap Frogs will make a night dive into Mardi Gras Park.” – AL.com
