U.S. President Barack Obama, the chair of the summit, stressed, “We have made significant, meaningful progress in securing the world’s nuclear materials so that it never falls into the hands of terrorists”.

“Madmen” from the Islamic State group would not hesitate to launch a catastrophic nuclear attack, US President Barack Obama said at a global summit in Washington on Friday.

Tame said while Mr. Obama has made nuclear security a key focus of his foreign policy, Russia’s decision to boycott this year’s talks has marred the final summit of his presidency.
